Music from China will present “Masterpieces of Erhu and Pipa” performed by Wang Guowei/erhu and Sun Li/pipa. The duo will perform music of the erhu and pipa, two of the most iconistic and virtuosic Chinese instruments. The enduring sound and musical versatility of these bowed and plucked string instruments will be reflected in a program spanning from ancient dynasties to regional folk music and contemporary work.
