A Trip to Carnegie Hall

Two Bridges Music recently led 6 of its students to a fun and educational field trip to Carnegie Hall.

On July 19th, the group met at Two Bridges Music to make the trip to Carnegie Hall and watch the National Youth Orchestra led by the world renown conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and featuring pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet in a live concert. With each piece there were moments of excitement, sentiment, mystery, and a rich jazz sound. The aspiring music students of Two Bridges enjoyed the concert immensely as each piece came together beautifully and harmoniously.

Tina, a Two Bridges Music piano student that attended the Carnegie Hall Field Trip, says, “It was phenomenal, I could feel the notes echoing inside my mind and it felt exciting. The sound resonated in me as I saw them play their instruments in harmony. I especially liked the Piano Concerto in F major by George Gershwin, it was played beautifully.

For most of the young music students, it was their first time visiting the historical venue. Since its opening in 1891, Carnegie Hall has remained at the center of musical achievements for classic artists and contemporaries alike.
