A Message from Our President

As we prepare to celebrate our 71st anniversary, I am filled with both pride and gratitude for the enduring legacy of Two Bridges Neighborhood Council and the community that continues to inspire and sustain our work.

For more than seven decades, we have remained steadfast in our mission—providing affordable housing, uplifting our seniors with dignity and care, empowering young people through workforce development, and fostering a vibrant, connected Lower East Side. Our work spans generations and reflects the heart of our community.

Through our programs, we continue to create meaningful pathways and opportunities every day. From our D.R.E.A.M.S. YouthBuild program, which prepares young people for careers in construction and culinary arts, to our music, fitness, and basketball programs that nurture creativity, health, and teamwork—we are committed to developing the whole individual. Our SAT preparation program supports academic advancement, while our food program ensures that families and seniors have access to essential nourishment and care.

This year’s Spring Annual Gala“Anchored in Community, Sailing into the Future,” is more than a celebration—it is a reflection of who we are and where we are going. As we gather aboard the water, we honor the partnerships, supporters, and community members who have helped carry us through 71 years of impact.

Most importantly, this event is an opportunity to give. All funds raised will directly support the individuals and families we serve—ensuring that our programs continue to grow, reach more people, and provide critical services to those who need them most.

Together, we are not only honoring our past—we are actively investing in our future.

I invite you to join us for this special evening of reflection, celebration, and purpose. Your support ensures that we remain anchored in community while continuing to sail boldly into the future.

With gratitude and anticipation,

Ditashiah Kohn
